I have had trace amounts of protein and blood off and on for the last 3 days (I am able to check a UA where I work) and Im concerned why. Urine culture sent to lab was negative. I tried rehydrating and that helps with the keytones and ubg but not the protein and blood. Any info is appreciated.
I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first and have had an uneventful pregnancy

ok . . . i went thru this not too long ago with my first daughter who was born in july.
when i was about 28 weeks pregnant my blood pressure started to rise gradually. when they noticed that as well as my urine dips always showed trace or pluss 1 they did a 24 hour urine collection to check the protein level. most women have some protein in their urine I do not know what the unit is but when the test comes back anything under 150 is normal anything above 150 but under 300 is elevated and anything over 300 along with high blood pressure is diagnostic of preeclampsia-
my suggestion is to monitor your blood pressure a few times a day to make sure it is not getting too high- 140/90 would be something to definitely tell your dr. about
if you are showing both of these symptoms together they will monitor you a little closer than normal I would have appointments once a week and Non stress tests once a week and an ultrsound every 2 weeks ( high blood pressure can sometimes block nutrients to the baby and so they check to make sure the baby is continuing to grow normally)
I was induced because my blood pressure was around 160/100 when i was 36 1/2 weeks
induction was horrible and took 56 hours- next time i am going to do absolutely everything i can not to be induced i would love to go into labor naturally next time instead
Good luck just keep an eye on it but do not stress out about it because that will just make it worse
Most OB/GYNs would possibly not see you till 12 weeks as there is not a lot to peer/do About 10-12weeks is while the heart beat registers at the Ultrasound. And you'll inform if there may be any overt abnormality in development. A lot of workplaces would possibly not do blood paintings earlier than 12 weeks except there may be proof of earlier disorders. But now not all locations. You are a patron of the clinical career, and you've got the correct to request additional assessments as good as fireplace your Dr. and discover one which will pay attention to the issues you've gotten.
I would be concerned with Preeclampsia. Usually if you are spilling protein in your urine it is because of pregnancy induced hypertension. Keep track of your blood pressure, make sure it isnt elevated, and if you start getting really bad head aches i would call your doctor. If they are really concerned about the protein they will monitor you and the baby.good luck hope all is well
That is a sign for preeclampsia. Swollen feet is another sign. I assume they also checked your blood pressure? Just try to limit your activity level and rest as much as possible. Hopefully your doctor is keeping a close eye on you. Good luck sweetie and congratulations!
I just found out the same thing yesterday at the doctors, 33 weeks with my first. My doctor says it's a red flag for pre-eclampsia but he's not diagnosing me until my blood pressure heads into the high range. I would talk to your doctor about it because it could mean something else for you..
