ok so i am almost 16 years old, 5'10", close to 5'11" and i weigh about156 pounds. i play football(LB(linebacker)) and i really need to bulk up and stuff and my goal is to get to around 200 pounds in 1 and a half years, but i dont want those 200 pounds to be fat alone, i am going to work out a lot, meaning that im going to build a lot of muscle. first i am going to try a weight gainer because i heard that it helps you gain weight fast and it has a lotta protein. how long do you think it will take me to gain 40-50 pounds with a good weight gainer? and if you can, suggest a good one plz. after that, i am going to switch to normal protein shakes to build further muscle and to get faster. also, i bench a really low weight ( around 135 is my max=[ because i took a break from working out last year so i dropped a LOT) and i was wondering if weight gainers with like 74 grams of protein will help me build muscle to bench a lot more??? so would you guys recommend this or not???

First you need to follow a program for weight training.
Check out "DC training" or google it. That will get ya bulked up, but yeah weight gainers is a good idea.
Dont consume 70 something g of protein at one sitting because you body can probably only absorb like 40 of it maybe.
I reccomend you finish a workout with Waxy Maize Starch.
Checkout TrueProtein.com and save 5% off order if you use code CRJ777.
There are a lots of different proteins: whey (take right after working out), casein (take 45min before workout/bedtime), egg white, milk protein, soy, hemp, ect.
you can but they can get expensive the best thing to do is to eat a lot of food high in protein(chicken is the best meat)drink milk eat a lot of peanut butter and boiled eggs(bodybuilders do this to add bulk you have to gain so much fat to be able to turn that into muscle)the weight gainers and protein shakes are good if you use them with this(don't just depend on them add the aforementioned foods too)and powered whey protein(when you work out your muscles are broken down the powered whey helps to regerate your muscles faster to speed up heal time and this helps you to lift weights quicker and add more bulk)the main thing is that you go and see your doctor before you start on a high protein diet(it can be bad on your kidneys as it has been for some people)also read the instructions on the whey ,the weight shakes, and the protein gainers do not take more than the recommended amount at any given time because too much is just as bad as too little
I have been trying to gain muscle (I am a girl though so this may be different). I've been working out too and eating those protein bars and shakes. They are the lower calorie ones since they don't contain sugar. I actually have lost weight on them. So my advice, don't get the protein bars from walmart. I heard there is a protein shake from GNC (I don't know the name) that will MAKE you gain weight. You might want to look into that. I am sure if you went into the store and asked they could tell you exactly what you need.
i recommend quality of quantity...i would rather concentrate on gaing purely muscle over a period of time then muscle and fat quickly.
im a thai boxer and to me its better for me competing to be all muscle but smaller than bigger with fat mixed in. i just perform better
if you are working out and eating right you can expect to gain 1-2lbs per week. however this can vary most likely if you gain more than 2lbs a week its gonna be water weight or fat.
