What do each of these do in a powder or pill form? Both are made for muscle growth and recovery.
Which is better, powder or pills? I prefer powder, you can't take in nearly as much if you take it in pill form (dont think I have ever even seen protein in pill form to be honest)
Which is better for quicker muscle, ligament, and tendon injury recoveries? For ligament and tendon, neither. For muscle, its debatable, depends on the type of protein. People will usually argue for whichever they use.
Which makes you stronger? For pure muscle mass and lifting capabilites creatine shows more promise then protein alone for increasing size and strengh.

Do you have to work out a lot or a little? For smaller workouts you probably won't break down enough muscle fibers for either to be worth taking regularly (and by smaller workouts I don't mean shorter time in the gym, if you are doing an intense 40 minute circuit training regimen id consider it a big workout)
Which requires you to drink more water? Neither really though intense workouts should always be prefaced with water intake throughout the day, throughout the workout, and after the workout.
Which will increase my running speed more? Protein powder. Studies right now have shown that maintained physical exercise at a constant heart rate/burn rate (running, swimming, etc) lessens the effectiveness of creatine (too long to explain why) so if you are looking for leaner muscle mass for endurance sports protein is probably a better way to go.
Will either increase or decrease my tennis ability? Ability? Neither. Practice more.
Will either increase or decrease flexibility? The supplement themselves? No.
Which will increase my stamina more? Back to the running question. Protein powder would be a better choice.
What are the negative and positive consequences of each? Ummm, look at the answers to all the questions?
Should they be taken together? No studies show that there is any harm in doing so. And studies have shown that mixing different types of protein can be beneficial. As for creatine and protein. I really don't know.
Will my punches/kicks increase or decrease in speed? This is a hard one to answer. I've kickboxed for 1.5 years and done BJJ for 4. But I have always been a protein guy. My purely hypothetical guess would be creatine since it is designed more for short fire muscle fibers. The problem I see with creatine is that if you put on enough size your muscle mass will actually slow you down. So you would probably hit harder but slower. Of course these kinds of differences would only really be seen by a professional fighter. So unless you plan on going pro I wouldn't base your decision on it.
Will my reaction time be affected by either? Nope.
I get injured a lot so which do you think I should use? These supplements won't help true injuries really (outside of strained muscles maybe). The best thing to prevent injury is going to be flexibility training and balance training, and this is true for virtually every sport.

Will any of the results stay if i stop using the supplement? Not sure about how creatine reacts when its use is stopped. But I am pretty sure the results will stay SO LONG as you continue to work out.

Will it be easier or harder for me to get a six pack with either? Which will let me get it faster? Creatine will build the muscles faster assuming you are already lean enough that they will show. If you need to hit a cardio workout and a diet to get the abs I'd probably go protein.
For me personally I prefer protein powder. Mixture of whey and casein. Whey is a quick release protein and will speed recovery, casein is a slower releasing protein and will promote mucsle growth. There just isn't enough documented long term research to prove there is no downsides to creatine (remember steriods were considered safe when they first came out) to risk it unless you REALLY need the size and speed. I'd agree maybe take it in HS for sports, after that switch to protein, stay safe, and continue working out!
I've taken both. I can't really answer your itmized qs, b/c I don't have the time.
But from my experience:
Whey Protein: helps me get bigger, b/c when you lift your muscles rip and need protein to rebuild. Lift heavy weights, lower reps for size (6-8 reps)
Creatine: Also will make you bigger and stronger for different reason: your muscles release lactic acid when your muscles get tired and after that your muscles can't really work as well during that work out. So, creatine makes the lactic acid release later on. You will get bigger and faster, using this. My speed and endurance went through the roof with this. I would as your doctor what they think about this b/c it will work your kidneys for sure. I would only take this for maybe 3-6months and then stop for a while.
I would say protein is safer and better for long term use. If you are like in H.S., I would stop creatine after you graduate, it's not worth it unless you NEED to perform.
Just my opinion from research and personal use.
If I had to choose one supplement to take it would be a whey protein powder. Protein helps build and repair muscle. Without protein, you will not build the muscle you want.
There is such a variety in both creatine and protien it would take a book to answer all your questions. Your best bet is to research(not yahoo answers) and talk with a sports nutrionalist and find out what you will work best. I go to Trueprotein.com and get the mixes I want and it's cheaper then most stores.
