I've hit all pre-puberty signs and it's been like this for at least 3 years. I'm 13, by the way. The only sign I haven't hit is menstruation.
How long does discharge (white&yellow dots on underwear that you get to prepare you for your period) last before my first menstruation? It seems I've been on this discharge thing for a really long time.
Should I carry around a tampon just in case?

It's different for everyone. Discharge can last for years. You should be getting it soon, though!
A word of advice: Carry a pad or a pantyliner around just in case. You don't want to have to deal with a tampon when you get your first period, especially if you are in public. Learning how to insert a tampon for the first time can be tricky, and you could need to practice with a couple tampons before you do it right.
Discharge can occur for up to a few years before you get your period. You could have a while to go. I would carry a pad around in your bag or something if you are really worried about it. Tampons are not really good for the first time you get it. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. If it comes and you don't have a pad with you, just use toilet paper in your underwear as a pad until you can get one.
I haven't gotten my period yet either, but I suggest using a pad instead of a tampon. Tampons I find would hurt to put in and pads are more comfortable. For comfort reasons, start wearing panty liners (thinner than pads), just in case you get your period. When you do get it, wear pads. The white and yellow dots could be sweat, because you sweat alot down there.
well for one discharge can last for years and only if you see brown disharge then your period is coming and relax your 13 some gurls get it at 16 if your over talk to your mom okay and for second if you start your period use an pad for the first time okay hunny:) hopefully i helped
Mine lasted for two years. Bring pads because your first period won't be heavy enough for tampons and pulling out a dry one hurts.
FYI
This isn't what you want to hear if you want your period, but you're gonna hate it. It's exciting at first, but then it starts to become annoying fast.
Puberty starts when you get pubic hairs. So you have most likely already started puberty. I would be best for you to start with pads as they are easier to use.
