Would this constitute an emergency call to his vet or should I not bother him and just call the office in the morning? I've only had the puppy 2 days, he is a small terrier mix. The previous owner said she had dewormed the puppies so I'm not sure why he would have still have them if that's true. I'm trying to call the lady but she's "not available."
Can anyone give me some insight on this? Does vomiting the roundworms means they are leaving his system? Are the eggs visible in his stool or would his stool look different? I've never experienced the dog vomiting them up, only passing them in his stool whenever they died and were leaving the system.
Update:He is 14 weeks old.

this means at 8am in the morning callin gyour vet and getting the puppy in, take a stool sample with you. In order for a pup to be vomiting the worms up it is infected with them BADLY and needs to get on a good dose of medications to take care of the worms. Giving the cheap crap at walmart won't do it. That crap is probably what the person who sold you the pup used and probably only once.
Puppies get worms via the placenta as well as while they nurse that mature and cause problems for this puppy. If you don't get the puppy to the vet tomorrow the worms will get into the lungs and cause this puppy to die. yes they can die from worm infestations.
Puppies should be treated at 4, 6, 8, 10 , 12, 14 and 16 weeks. Regularly about every 2 weeks up to the puppy reaching 3 months old
Round worms migrate throughout the blood, into the lungs, and are coughed up, and usually re-swallowed. sometimes the larvae can travel through the liver and brain.
Round worms --also called ascarids are of whitish color. They look just like a piece of cooked Spaghetti, and live in your dogs intestine. They can reach up to 8" in length (20cm.), and feed off of your dogs food, in the intestine. Round worms shed eggs continually. You can either treat your dog for roundworms every 6 months, OR, you can have them tested and only treat if they have them.
In young puppies untreated roundworms Can cause the bowel to rupture. Puppies get roundworms from their mom, as the larval worms migrate into the womb.
Vomiting up roundworms means that the dog is SEVERELY INFESTED. I'm not sure if this can wait until tomorrow with such a young and small dog. I would call an emergency vet and ask for expert advice.
