Anyone think the GOP could use some libertarians on their side if they want to win a future election?
Imagine they had 5-10% of the supporters that would've voted Ron Paul on their side could've possibly helped them. Obviously the party will need some changing to do to win another time.
Update:Rand Paul is Ron Paul's son a Senator from Kentucky.

I think the GOP really needs an overhaul in general. They have strayed so far from what the values were originally. First and foremost I think they need to really lighten up on issues such as gay marriage, religion, weed, etc. As long as these things aren't hurting anybody who cares? Secondly they really need to get back to their roots fiscally and really be serious about a reform of the size and scope of govt. And finally stop trying to be the world's police it doesn't help them and it certainly doesn't help us. Ron Paul had the right idea but I do believe he has invigorated a new generation of younger people and hopefully we'll start seeing more politicians like him in the future. Like I said though the GOP really needs to drop the whole "moral majority" thing as it has probably helped democrats win more then anything else.

Ron Paul is fine. Rand Paul is seriously the most backwards, stupid, out-dated-minded thinker there is. Ron Paul will make weed legal, and I'm all for that.
