When a capacitor in an RC circuit discharges, the voltage across the capacitor drops from v_0_ to zero, which means energy leaves the circuit. Where does this occur and in what forms are the energy lost?

The energy loss occurs in the resistor .. the discharging current passes through the resistor (and the resistance of the connecting wires) which transfers electrical energy to heat ( lost to the surroundings)
The battery in flight is a fast discharge, the battery is easy to heat. Charge, so long as the charge, the battery is basically just a little micro thermal. Battery inability to fly the aircraft rotor rotation, can not fly, can be charged, not to be used will not be diverted to recharge, I charge so there are just flying off the battery do not immediately charge (cooling about one hour and then charge remember!!)
