So I went and looked at Bowdoin last week and really really really liked it. I want to go so bad. My SAT's and grades are on the lower side. But I still think it's worth a try. Because you don't know until you try. So what are some things I could do that would help me get in. Like extra curricular stuff? I'm not sure, any good ideas?

Your best plan is to study hard and do well on the SATs, study hard and do really well in school this year, and write a killer essay. Don't get your hopes up too high- it's a very selective school, and applying is always a crapshoot, even for great students. Demonstrate interest by asking for an interview, calling or emailing with questions you have, and being very well informed in general about the school. Consider applying ED or EA.
