I am testing out a new recipe and I measured out each ingredient in ounces on my Escali Primo. The grand total according to the scale was 16.95 ounces. Now if I put the recipe into Excel using the scale weight for each individual ingredient and let Excel calculate, the total weight is then 16.81 ounces. i want to be able to multiply the recipe by ten. Does anyone have any idea why this discrepancy or what I should do?
Update:I just measured the ingredients individually and what their weights were I listed it on excel like that. For example:
2 cups almond meal= 7oz
1 & 1/2 teaspoons baking soda = 0.30 oz
Then I took that and wrote it down on excel:
Almond meal = 7oz
Baking soda= 0.30 oz
But where Excel would say those two ingredients equals 7.30 oz my scale might say something like 7.44 oz. I use Excel to keep my recipes and I want to know why the difference since it does affect the recipe when I multiply it.

Obviously we would need to see the formula you used for excel. By all means you could have made a simple calculation mistake. I don't understand why you would need a spread sheet to calculate this.
