For some time now, I've been trying to render my first few xbox live gameplays in Sony Vegas 9.0e. However, when I open my chosen clip, the audio track is slightly decreased, causing about half my video to play without any audio. In addition, when finished rendering, the quality of the finished product is not good, partly laggy, and as described, lacking about half of the audio. How can i fix this?

For audio:
each audio track has its own leveler, default is 0.0dB.. u can increase as much as you want but be careful u dont hit "red color" on the master audio preview on your right, it will cause audio clipping. However you can always use audio editing software like Adobe audition for professional effects. All you have to do is set adobe audtion as your default audio editing software in Sony Vegas.
Option>preferences>Audio tab> select the location of audio editor.exe you have.
for editing the audio just right click on audio and open in audio Editor.
For video:
what is your FPS for the gaming video? make sure you are not forcing for more FPS on your output video. For example if your gaming video is 15 fps and you are trying to create NTSC video (29.9 fps) then offcourse you will have horrible effect.
try to customize the output and do some experiments with settings.
I think if you right click on your XBox live video gameplay > properties... it will show some infos which will definitely help you to know the details like FPS, audio and size (dimensions).
