So I got rubber bands on my braces today and I just have a couple of questions. First, how long will it take to get used to them/for my teeth to stop hurting? And when I'm eating lunch at school, I feel like it'll be really awkward to put them back in after, so would it be okay to put them in like when I get home? That would probably mean like three hours without them. I just wanna make sure that would be okay though because I really just want to get my braces off as soon as I can. Thanks in advance!

If you want your braces off as soon as possible, you need to wear your rubber bands as much as the orthodontist told you.
Why would it be awkward to put them in after lunch? Could you duck into the restroom and replace them?
For getting use to them and stop hurting, it will probably be 2-3 days. But again, the more you wear them, the faster you'll be used to them.
If you wear your rubber bands all the time it should only hurt for like 3 day then you would get used to it. It would be ok to put them in once you get home I'm pretty sure 3 hours are not going to shift your teeth that fast. When I got rubber bands for my braces i had to wear them for a month to get my braces taken off but I only wore them for a week because I was to lazy to put them in but I still got my braces taken off and I didn't have to wear them again. I hope this helps :)
Rubber bands kill extra effective than the braces do for over a week. they seem to be a soreness, yet you get used to them after awhile. i can't inform you the way long you will would desire to placed on them (it rather is distinctive for each individual). reliable success.
well, if you want your braces off as soon as possible you should put them in right after you eat. it wont matter too much if you put them in when you get back home it'll just mean you'll probably have to wear them for longer.
