okay so on my small hamachi server i wanted to find the end portal, so i did, and built a cobblestone bridge to it in creative mode. i made it really high in the sky, instead of underground because there were so many caves nearby. when i got to the portal, i broke the silverfish spawner, and thought there weren't gonna be any left. WRONG!

the point of the bridge is to make it into a minecart system because its reallyy far away from the base, so it's still under construction. while flying over my bridge i noticed random blocks were there, and some were missing. so i broke and replaced the blocks. EVERY SINGLE block i broke had a silverfish in it. ALL OF THEM. the entire bridge is infested with silverfish, even all the way to my base!

is there any way i can just get rid of the silverfish? or do i have to use another type of block besides stone? also because they are already above the surface now, will i have to watch out for silverfish all the time now???? will they eventually disapear or despawn or will they be all over my base now? :(

if i have to use a different type of block, which is best? thanks
