Her blood sugar as well as many other levels in her body are out of whack. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 over seven years ago. He was also put in the pediatric intensive care unit. It is very scary. But, they will give her medicine - insulin and other fluids to help decrease her blood sugar and even out all the other things. She will pull through. Once my son's levels were balanced out (it took a couple of days) he felt much better. Before she is released from the hospital she and your parents will be taught how to check her blood sugar and give insulin shots. Good luck!
