Special Occasion in universities?
I am leaving for UK university in late Sept, some of my friends suggest that I should buy a formal dress, high-heel shoes, accessories whatever for some special occasion.
So here comes the question: Can someone name those occasions that I really need to dress so formally please?

I have a suit for that. I just want to know if there is any specific occasion that I would have be dressy, like in a prom or something

The advice sounds silly to me. The only time you'd need to be that dressy is graduation. Save your money.
