I've been suffering from stomach/abdomen pain for a few years now and it hasn't gotten worst but it is about the same but they always occur. I've had lots of blood taken and even had a barium meal scan but they said everything looks normal but the pain is still here.
They want to do a endoscopy/colonoscopy just to make sure nothing is wrong but I'm scared to have it down and come out to find I have cancer or something.
I would have though they would have seen that by the barium meal scan right???
Anyway being me I googled it and one the led to another and now I'm freaking out about all types of cancer, etc.
I'm really worried...

"Few years" "Cancer" Doesn't sound like they go together to me.
Colonoscopy is no biggy, easy to have done. They might find a slight twist in the intestine, but I doubt cancer. It's very possible it is something other than your intestines causing the pain. It's better to find out than not to.
Lewis, just go for the endoscopy/colonoscopy or any checkup that could 'determine' the cause of your stomach/abdomen pains. If you don't do it, you wouldn't know what's wrong. And then, you will continue being in a "I'm really worried" situation for years.
