Stomach ache, heart burn, irregular bowel systems, indigestion?
I have been smoking for 14 years now and eating in restuarant from 4 years, last night i had mild to moderate stomach ache (i had this pain 3 years back)...i went to doctor he advised ultra sound scan which came back clear except for saying "may be acute appendities', now he has ordered CT scan for clear picture....i am freaking out as my symptoms matching with stomach cancer...I had H. Pylori positive 3 months back for which i took anti-biotics.
Can CT scan for stomach detect cancer..how accurate is ultra sound scan?

Yes, a CT scan can identify tumors in the stomach, however an upper endoscopy is more definitive. It is highly unlikely that you have stomach cancer. Likely you have Gastritis. Quit the smoking, give your gut a rest with some bland food, and start taking a proton pump inhibitor like Prilosec daily and I would bet your symptoms will go away.
So many answers... dude you're very young. Don't say that "I am a student so I don't get time for anything". You have all the time. Eat whatever you want to. Just go outside in evening and play some outdoor games. Specially Football, Badminton, Cricket etc etc. Play as much as you can. Play football daily for an hour or two and you'll see the changes.
first of all i know this is hard but stop smoking.. then go to your doctor and tell hime everything you write here and then he should tell you what kinds of tests you need..
and yes i thing ct scans can detect cancer
