i have a strange lump on the inside of my left wrist which comes and goes. If I press on my wrist this lump pops up. Its about a cm in length and i can push it back in. Beneath this there is another smaller lump which is always there.
Its been like this a while, but now its beginning to get painful when the lump is popped up, and its started to come more often now.
Hope this all makes sense? Can anyone give me any advice on what this might be?
Many thanks

I believe everyone is right, it sounds like a "Ganglion Cyst". It is a fluid-filled cyst/sac that usually appears on the wrist. They usually occur from overuse or from repetitive actions,...but can appear randomly as well.
The cysts can arise and not cause any pain or other problems, but if they put pressure on surrounding nerves and/or joints they can be quite painful. If it's not going away and starting to cause you pain you should probably go see your doctor. He can take care of it by aspirating the fluid out of it.
I had one several years ago on the inside of my wrist, it didn't hurt but I didn't know what it was so I made an appointment with my doctor. Later I was sitting on the floor, and when I started to get up I put all my weight on that arm with my wrist bent backwards. The pressure from doing that popped the cyst and it hurt like crazy for just a second. After that it didn't hurt and never came back (it's been about 4 years).
I wouldn't advise doing what I unintentionally did (LOL), but since it's starting to cause you pain, you'll probably want to see a doctor so he/she can properly take care of it.
Lump On Wrist
I don't know if i'm right or if this will even help, it's just an idea. I don't wanna say what I think it is and have it be wrong, i'm not a doctor or anything, but in a way it kind of sounds like it could be something called a cyst. I have one on my left wrist, it's called a ganglion cyst. Mine is really soft, not hard at all, but sometimes they can turn hard. I have no pain in mine, but sometimes they can have pain as well. When I press on mine, it is soft and filled with fluid in there. I saw my doctor about it when I first got it and he informed me on it. I don't know if that's what your case is, but I heard for a ganglion cyst, it's not good if they get to be painful. You should really have it checked out by a doctor, especially since you're having pain. I'd seriously get into to a doctor about it, if I were you.
It's probably a ganglion cyst I had one and got it removed by doctors sucking it out which may or may not be permanent but mine came back and the only other option is surgery so I am just leaving it cause it doesn't reall affect me or hurt
