Strange taste in my mouth...?

There is a strange taste in my mouth. However, it is not the whole mouth. I can only taste it really in the right side of my mouth. The only thing i can liken the taste to is cheese and onion crisps.

With me, whenever i eat cheese and onion crisps, the taste lingers on for hours and hours after I've eaten them. It tastes like that now. I've brushed my teeth. I've checked thoroughly in my mouth in the mirror. I have not had toothache for years, so i am ruling out absesses. I am always careful about dental hygiene.

Also, when i brushed my teeth, i spat something out into the sink and it was a darkish biege colour. However, i cleaned my tongue and the stuff that was on my tongue was the same colour as the stuff i spat out earlier.

I'm confused. It really feels like it's above my tongue on the very top right of my mouth, almost at the back of my throat really. I am really confused. Is this a cause for concern because my dentist is not open next week for some stupid reason and i dont want to be worrying over nothing.

Update:

Yes, i have had the taste of the crisps lingering in my mouth every single time I've eaten them. It annoys me, so i avoid cheese and onion ones whenever i can. It feels like something is "leaking" in the right side of my mouth, but when i check, there is nothing there at all...
