Hi, I am 20 year old student and am currently studying to obtain a degree in filmmaking. I really do love cinema and want to make it in the industry, but not to just become a typical respected director/writer but to become an icon of film. I know this seems very far fetched, but I have been wanting this from a very young age and have spent about 5 years writing, directing and editing my short films that I post on YouTube. After my degree I want to immediately start working to make this dream become reality. I have a short film that I've written that I will be shooting soon and I can't even sleep well because I am constantly working on it or thinking about it. It's not obsessive or anything, I just really do honestly care and I want my dream to come true. if I don't make it, I don't know what I will do in life because this is the only thing I love and have been told that I am good at it by a few people. Does anyone have any advice or tips or does anyone even want to have a simple conversation because I am feeling go depressed right now. I understand that I should give time to time, however it's not that simple. I am not giving up... far from it, I am just concerned that my probably over ambitious dream just won't come true.
