is there a law out there that protects people from getting wrongly judged in the courtroom??? a friend of mine has a friend that is going to court for a crime which he did not commit nor did the police do an investigation. the lawyer and judge contacted my friend requesting that anyone with tattoos, piercings, dreads or don't look conservative looking not show up to court to support their friend. some of his friends including my friend have tattoos, piercings and a few have dreads. other than being stereotypical and disrespectful, is there not a law out there that protects people from getting judged in the courtroom?
thanks.
i live in Georgia btw.

A person must not be judged because of tattooes and piercings just like do not judge a book by its cover.
Yeah there are laws against discrimination HOWEVER you have to prove there was a discrimination. And the point here is that your friend is at the mercy of the judge or jury, which are regular people who are going to feel a certain way about someone with too many piercings or tattoos. That is just how the world works. If you don't want to be judged poorly then make sure to only get tattoos or piercings that you can cover up in a business or law environment. Respectable people with education either don't get tattoos or piercings or get only a few that they can easily cover up.
In many medical or dental programs you have to cover up all tattoos and not have earrings in during clinical rotations per college requirements. Because it isn't considered professional looking to have ink or holes all over a person.
This is America. You are allowed to be a freak and everyone else is allowed to judge you. Both are legal. Your friend needs a good attorney who will make every thing right. Get one! Don't worry about who else is in the court room. Friends can support but never help.
No. People do, and are allowed to, judge people by the way they look. Do you really want a law making that illegal? If you enter the courtroom looking like a freak, THAT is what's disrespectful.
