I was fired with no reason and no warning. I was a few days from receiving a raise and full benefits. My boss told me when he fired me that he knows that I gave 110% but he could not keep me on because he needed to get himself organized and it was a new position for the company. I really don't feel that is a good reason to fire me. I never signed an employment agreement with him. I worked really hard, came in early, implemented new systems in the company and was available when others were not. I'm struggling with bills right now and not sure what to do. I filed for unemployment but not sure if I'm eligible. My previous job was with a temp agency and I work there while trying to find a job after finishing college. Please I need good advice on what to do. I feel like I had the rug pulled from under me

You can apply for unemployment, consider it a layoff NOT a firing
. Since you implemented a new system, you can go to similar companies, since you never signed an employment agreement to go to another in the same business
also since he stated he was getting reorganized, have him give you a letter of reference of what he said to you to give to unemployment and to future employers
Try the Job Corp in maryland for further help
You are eligible, & should expect to receive unemployment benefits once your claim is processed.
The state will contact your former employer about the circumstances of your termination, & barring any malfeasance on your part they will approve you for benefits.
This will not directly affect your former employer except for an increase in their unemployment insurance rate upon renewal.
well it might sound cliche-ish but these things happen. You have a college degree so I wouldnt be too worried. In a few months these things will be distant memory. Meanwhile have you considered relief teaching positions, tutoring some rich kids, etc ?
