unemployment in Maryland...how much can I make?
anyone know anything about unemployment in Maryland? how much can I make a week before it comes out of my weekly amount? I saw both $100 and $50.00...right now I am out of a job on Aug. 26th...I have one kid for my daycare but worried I wont have more till September/October and I want to plan for it...also the weekly amount is based on the last 3 months of pay right?

Unemployment compensatIon is based on your earnings during the year ending at the end of the last quarter. If you lose your job on August 26th, your compensation will be based upon your earnings from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
You can earn up to 1/2 of your weekly benefit amount before it is deducted from your unemployment. If you earn as much as your unemployment, you will not receive any compensation that week and you will have to re-apply for unemployment compensation again.
