Universal remote setup?
just got a GE universal remote. I have a digital converter box (the free one that comcast sends) it doesn't have a power switch or anything. I need to know how to setup my universal remote with the converter box so I can change the channel and volume. Please help. Thanks!

If your guide doesn't have a code for that particular box sometimes you can add it as an "Auxiliary".
Press AUX then the device button you are assigning to AUX. Then do a CODE SEARCH/SETUP (that's where you have to hit the button a bunch of times..the guide should explain in more detail, how to set up a device on the aux button.)

The instruction manual for the universal remote should explain how to do this, and it should list codes for your brand of cable box. If there aren't any codes that work for your cable box, you probably should buy a "learning" universal remote instead; that type can be programmed to work with any device as long as you have the original working remote. Check the internet.
You need to find what TV you have first and than you need to enter the code given for that particular Television set.
Sure you should not take a power switch into consideration foregoing deciding
