USA did very well beating Spain 2-0 and almost beating Brazil, so my question to you, do you think the USA game has reach European status? If not how long do you think they have to go??
i think there is exaggeration, the US won't reach European status from 2 matches, beating a Spain side that obviously didn't give it's best while i still respect that the US won fairly. in their region they're playing Panama and Honduras and then winning a trophy of course they would look like a very good team, but to be honest there is no competition...the other day the US managed to beat Panama 2-1 at extra time and from a penalty, that's far from being a competitive team in Europe.
The danger is that US supporters catch the English disease. For most of my life England's support has often got very excited off the back of a couple of good results and then we start to over play our chances.
US are making progress, but be warned it is not always straight line progression and they could take backward steps at any time.
You talk of European status but I'm afraid it doesn't mean much, because Europe has such a mix of good and bad teams.
Not euro status because their bench isnt that deep like most euro teams.
We all should be very proud of them though. They played very very well. Better then expected. Just shows you what US soccer players are capable of.Landon Donovan is the most under rated player in soccer right now. With out him US would not have even won one game. He deserves to be playing in spain, germany or england. But were lucky to have him in the MLS.

No, the fans have no passion. USA is not a footballing country, unless they get rid of American football and baseball, maybe it can be.
