For some time I've wanted to major in Production at USC's School of Cinematic Arts. I had some conflicts getting my materials together for the December 10th deadline for undergrad admission. Do you think the admissions staff is firm on their deadlines or might they allow me to submit my application now, if I call and explain my situation?
If that doesn't work out, could I just go to USC if accepted and apply to the film school in the spring? Is that hard to do?

a deadline is a deadline, you can try... but chances are no way. If you get accepted into USC you can just do the film school as soon as you are in though!
Talk to a USC admissions representative now so that you can take the necessary classes.
