I have a 2003 mercury mountaineer, the battery is only two years old. Starting last week my car would not start. It would try to turn over, but just click. Jumping it worked fine, but every time I turn it off it needs jumped again. I had the battery tested and the tech said the battery was fine just needed charged. So then we tested the alternator and charging system and everything came back fine. There are no lights left on, nothing plugged in, and I have used a battery cleaner and wire brush to scrub the connectors and verify they are connected tightly. Still it will not charge. I bought a jumper but its annoying to have to use every time. Any thoughts?

Depending on where you live and what climate and the age of your battery I would say buy a new one. The one you have now is not holding any charge anymore at all. Been there done that. I even bought a brand new battery once that was bad. lol
I think your original problem was an inadequate connection between the battery and the alternator. Now that you have scrubbed and cleaned the connectors, this problem should be corrected. Now all you need is a good strong charge on your battery. Believe it or not, you generally need to drive your car for 60-100 miles without stopping to get it charged enough. Another thing you could try is using a plug in battery charger when you are at home, and leave it on over night. If your battery still won't perform after that then I would get a new one despite what the tester says. Or, you could just keep it on the plug in charger all the time when you are not driving it.
Good Luck
Remove the battery and have them load test it.
have a load test done on your battery
