So I've heard that the Verizon iPhone 5 comes factory unlocked, I've seen videos about it, news about it, and even Verizon said that they won't block it in the future.
I even called verizon and they confirmed me that their iPhone IS unlocked!
I'm going to get the full price no commitment one, and I was thinking about getting on best buy because I don't live in the U.S. and I can easily buy it from there, but I asked a few sellers from best buy if it comes unlocked, and they all said no? Everyone else said it's unlocked, even Verizon, so why would they tell me it's not?
Are they all really uninformed? Are they told not to say it's unlocked? Or for some reason the verizon iPhone 5 sold by best buy are locked?
Anyways should I go for it and buy because it will be unlocked? Or should I second guess that?
Thanks!

Not sure you would be able to get the iPhone at all, even no commitment, since you aren't American. If Apple starts selling the factory unlocked model in their stores by that time then they shouldn't be a problem.
As far as Best Buy, they may really be uninformed about it.

I have the iPhone 5 at present (and am answering the question with it) in case you purchase it from verizon it may't be used with AT&T. it may purely be used on verizon networks. besides the indisputable fact that it will be detention center damaged and then you'll use any community
The Verizon iPhone 5 is indeed carrier-unlocked and will work with your local carrier's SIM card. It might not get 3G, though. Usually when you're talking about an unlocked phone, it means nothing on Verizon. This isn't the case with the iPhone 5.
yes, the Veriozn iPhone 5 is unlocked, doesn't matter where you buy it, including Best Buy
the employees at Best Buy generally don't know much.
your other option is just buy the iPhone 5 unlocked directly from Apple.
