Very Unknown U.S.M.C Knowledge?
I need a fact or some information about the Marines that is so unknown, not even a Marine themselves would know about it. I need the fact and lots of details! Thanks in advance! Semper Fi!

An unknown fact, that even Marines don't know, would be unknown to all.
USMC forces were the first to land and occupy a portion of Europe in WWII. In June of 1941 British troops pulled out of Iceland, and a USMC detachment replaced them. Iceland is technically part of Europe. We of course were not at war yet at the time, and would not be for the next 5 months.
Marines will know this though.
The fact there is a Marine Corps museum is rather unknown.

Edit: Okay, i thought you meant they were the very first forces to Occupy Iceland, when in fact they were the third.
