i need 20g of air at normal pressure and temperature. What is the volume of air in cm3 ?
and if i fit that(20g) in a cylinder, the cylinder would have(if my math is right) 17cm3. considering the air density of 1.176kg/m3
am i right? please help i used only an air density calculator on google.
so the question is what is the volume (in cm3) of 20g of air?

all correct...you already calculated...
You're close, but off by some factors of ten. It's very helpful to keep track of the units as you go:
( 20 g ) / [ ( 1.176 kg/m^3 ) (1000 g/kg) / (1000000 cm^3/m^3) ]
= 17000 cm^3
