Dreamweaver is used by many professional web developers. I personally use a program called PSPad. It doesn't provide the "WYSIWYG" functionality that Dreamweaver does, but I know how to code so I don't need it. You can find a demo version of Dreamweaver here:
There is a lot of Open Source (Free) Web Design software software out there, Just look around. And, you may want to try the Dreamweaver Demo, cause many people have many different opinions.
