Whenever I run or jump or just play sports there's this pain in my knee just under my kneecap and above my shin on both legs. I don't know what this is and is there any way that I can treat it? Right now I'm just putting ice on it after but it hurts when I walk after for about two hours.

You would need X-rays as that is more than just a strain. Still, to be honest I don't think a doctor would take it seriously, if you are young.
Certainly many stretching exercise would help, but you might actually hear cracking in your knee as the patella/knee cap is allowed to move without support, from possibly torn ligament.
See a doctor/orthopaedic specialist who cares.
ok i have suffered from the same problems as being a big runner but i can help from exeperience....... first if you are a very active person applie the "r.i.c.e" principle it stands for rest, ice, compresion ,elevation , this should help. then maybe get a knee brace if you can this will provide compresion keep the joints warm and promote the circulation of blood. also it may help to lubricate the koints. another ting that may contribute to repairing the damage done is by purchasing some "joint care tablets" try to fing one contianing glucosmaine and chondrition this will hep repair any damaged ligaments or cartilage.i hope this is a help and i hope the knee pain goes away soon
This might sound a little nuts, but when I was having knee pain like that, it turned out to be a hip injury. Turns out, several hip injuries manifest themselves as knee injuries since the wieght gets shifted downwards, which I didn't even know until after I was diagnosed.
If ice isn't helping, have a doctor do an exam on your knee, and maybe even your hip joint. It worked for me. : )
