I had my son almost 7 months ago. I was bleeding for 3 weeks and then I had my 1st period 3 weeks later. It is different to a normal period becuase you can be on for longer then you were before getting pregnant. My cycles are so out of whack now since having him. It could be heavier or lighter. It depends on the woman. My 1st period after was 6 days long and slightly heavier then my peiods before I got pergnant xx

My daughter was born 2/24/2009 and my first postpartum mp was 5/11/2009. I breastfed until I was 9 weeks postpartum.

My first period was normal to slightly heavier. The following month my period came on time, but then went haywire...

I bled 27 out of the next 32 days... Sometime very light, sometimes normal flow, other times heavy...

My Dr and I were beginning to worry when it stopped, and came back exactly 1 month later on time, and normal ever since...

Until of course it didn't come in June then hubby & I discovered we're expecting again... YAY!!!

With my first daughter, I got my first period about 6 weeks postpartum. I did not breastfeed. It was a little heavier and longer than my pre-pregnancy periods but not excessively so. Each period after that was regular and on-time. It's different for everyone, that's just my experience.

My period came around 7 weeks but I had bled for around 4-5 weeks afterwards. It was just the same as a period before I became pregnant and after the first period they feel straight back into their usual pattern. Everyone is different and 5 weeks isn't long at all however if you have any concerns speak to your doctor at you post-natal check up

Mine were slightly heavier after I had my daughters, but after a few cycles it went back to normal.

After my oldest, I had my first period at 10 weeks postpartum and after my second, it was around 12 weeks postpartum.

If you are breastfeeding, it could be some time before it returns.
