When does pikachu evolve?
My pikachu is level 18 and hasn't evolved yet. I also wanted to know what moves he learns at certain levels. I am playing pokemon yellow on my Game Boy Advance. Any advice or answer would be greatly apprecieated.
Update:I also wanted to know when Magikarp evolves. He is level 12.

As stated, pikachu will only evolve with the use of a thunderstone. But as for the moves and when you want to evolve it, a raichu doesn't learn any new moves naturally from leveling up once it is evolved, only one or two at the moment it does evolve. Because of this you want to train your pikachu to whatever level you feel is right to give you the moves you want to evolve, this page gives you an idea of what to expect at what level.

Pikachu doesn't evolve through leveling up, he evolves using a thunderstone. However, in pokemon yellow, he refuses to take the thunderstone unless it is traded to you from another game. So basically, you can't evolve pikachu in pokemon yellow unless you have another game to trade with.
