I once saw gas at .79.gallon in 1999.After 2001 I never saw gas under a $1.20/gallon.

I am 35yrs old I remember gas when I was 16 or so yrs old was 79 cents a gallon ahhhhhh the good ol days

January, 2004: $1.492 low

Under $1.25:

March, 2002: $1.118 low

Under $1.00:

The week of March 22, 1999 the average was $0.999.

The lowest price in the last 18 years was reached in February, 1999 at a low of $0.885.

Maybe in 2001 that gas was cheap, and then in 2002 gas starting going up until now. After 9/11 then gas got pricey and went up like crazy.
