...that Christian =/= Creationist
...that prayer is not offered in place of physical and financial help
...that we are not Christians because our mommies and daddies told us to be
...that it is possible to have faith and logic; belief and reason
...that an extremist does not represent our religion, anymore than Nazism encompasses all of politics?

As soon as you realize that
Atheist =/= immoral life waster/criminal
That we do not cave in when bad things happen
That atheism is not some "dumb fad" but is a serious disbelief
That it is possible to be a moral, patriotic upstanding citizen and find meaning in life while disbelieving
And that we are not all communists who want to have an atheist state and that Stalin killing for political gain does not represent secular politics.
that Christian =/= Creationist; but both are stupid
that we are not Christians because our mommies and daddies told us to be; That is the case in the vast majority of cases
that it is possible to have faith and logic; belief and reason; logic prevents belief in unproven rubbish
that an extremist does not represent our religion, anymore than Nazism encompasses all of politics;
False premise an extremist does as his religion tells him too and is inspired by his religion to act so
all politics can include parties that are not the NAZI party, which in any case has been defunct since 1945. You are showing real stupidity and inability to use logic here
Hi CS.
I can agree with all your points here with the possible exception of the third one (mommies and daddies).
I think that statistically people do follow the religion of their parents, often without really thinking it over that carefully. And I think this would go for regular Christians AND extremists. And atheists too, for that matter.
Anyway, keep plugging your message. We do need reminded sometimes, reading some of the answers here.
You're wrong.
...that Christian =/= Creationist
Genesis is the ultimate basis of the NT
...that prayer is not offered in place of physical and financial help
no its usually offered INSTEAD of that
...that we are not Christians because our mommies and daddies told us to be
97% of religious adults are the exact religion of their childhood
...that it is possible to have faith and logic; belief and reason
if you say so my dear, and THAT is why all you could do is anonymously mock

Ask Fred Phelps if he is indeed a "true Christian"
Your move dear.
for real!
in 'science' we've been having to watch this video about how we're responsible for leaving a huge damaging ecological footprint on earth.. the only undertone I got from this national geographic video speaker, was that; We are an accident, that destroys earth.. its like .. uhmm that's why the resources are here, notice they're natural and will renew itself. God hung the world on nothing, - gravity
I trust that if he can do that, he can do anything. the universe is amazing, and no matter how they slice it.. how can they Truly really believe it was from chance/nothingness.. I for one think they dont 100% percent know so... they wish to think so.. so they wont have to be accountable to anyone but themselves.. too bad, that's how Hitler thought
The account of creation is fundamental to Christian belief. So I do not agree with that.
I do agree with number two, three and four in your list.
Here's my thing.....if you aren't a creationist, you don't really believe the Bible. So what's the point?
I actually think the creationists have a more consistent point that you. It's a more insane one, but at least they are self consistent.
I'm well aware. Did you not realize you are complaining about generalizations while making a generalization?
Some atheists do. Everyone has their own beliefs, and we all need to accept that.
"we are not Christians because our mommies and daddies told us to be"
No, you're probably a Christian because you have no understanding of anthropology or history.
