I am senior in high school and I live in Nashville. I am looking for a college that is religious, with lots of activities for students and clubs, lots of volunteering opportunities, but a school that is also academically challenging as well. I have been really sheltered my whole life so I just want a well rounded school where I can meet all kinds of people. Currently I do not know what I want to major in but I either want to be a doctor and major in chemistry or be a teacher. These three schools really appeal to me but my parents won't let me apply to all three. In the end I just want to go to a school that has a work had play hard motto. Thanks
Update:I'm talking about the Xavier in Ohio by the way. I have a 4.5 GPA and the AP Exams I have taken I have made 4s and 5s. 25 is my best ACT score but I plan to retake again in September and hopefully make a 28 or higher. I do lots of community service. I really don't care about the denomination as long as faith is important on campus. Right now I just to choose 2 of the 3 to apply to.

There are two Xavier universities and both are Catholic, but they are very different. One is historically black with 3,400 students in fall 2011, the other about 7,000 students. Samford is a small, Baptist-affiliated university with 4,700 students in fall 2010. Emory is a huge Methodist-affiliated university that had almost 14,000 students in fall 2011.
Most students who want to go to a religion-affiliated school choose one in the denomination to which they belong. Here you have three very different religions. And quite frankly, I did not realize that Emory is religion-affiliated until you asked.
You are also comparing small universities that have a more close-knit feel to a major university (Emory) in a metropolitan area. They are just not the same. I can assure you that Emory is an outstanding university, and that many fine doctors and scientists are products of Emory.
You need to talk with your guidance counselor about where to apply. Do you have the numbers to be admitted to these three? Can your family afford the tuition? There is nothing wrong with applying to all if you have the scores to qualify.
Best of luck to you.
