and which one will i get? out of Bearded dragon or ball python. i have done my research on both of them and i still can't decide i know that ball pythons are cheaper but i want good personality's and fun loving pets
Both make awesome pets. Beardies are a lot more work and money to care for, but I'm sure you know as you've done research. Ball pythons cannot be handled everyday whereas beardies can be. It is very rare to get an aggressive beardie as it is also rare to get an aggressive ball python, but you have more of a chance to get an aggressive ball than a beardie. And balls are harder to tame if they are your first snake. You can sit on the couch and watch tv with your beardie on your lap. If you did that with a snake he isn't really going to sit still for you lol.
Beardies are very smart and sociable reptiles. They recognize their owners and begin to appreciate them. Whereas a ball python not so much. They bascially want to be fed and left alone.
So I would say go for a beardie, theres so much more you can do with them. And if your able to get another pet down the road, get a ball python
I have both! If you are looking for fun and personality go with beardie for sure. The ball pythons are cool but don't interact like you're prob wanting. Both are docile. Best to get them as babies. Beardie babes are about 80, but if you get the ones that have bitten tails ( common) then the shops take off another $20 normally. ENJOY!!!
Well i would say a beardie, they are more work to care for but i have one and they're good pets. I don't know about ball pythons but they are cheaper and easier.
i have had both i still have my ball python but if your going more for personality as like a dog i suggest the bearded dragon. they are mobile at times definitely in the summer and you can do so much more with them. hand feed them, take them outside, let them loose without loosing them they're almost like a scaly dog :)
i ahve both and i see that mostly everyone has told you a beardie is better for personality. idk if i did something wrong with minehaha but mines kinda boring unless were out at a petstore or something. then he does have a little personality, but still not as much as my snakes. you can really tell my ball pythons all have their own individual personality, it reminds me of people ha, so i pick them. i wouldnt trade mine for the world.

Beardies have more personality, definitely like spiky puppies...:)
Ball pythons are shy and secretive. They are pretty to look at, but like hiding and darkness and generally don't like to be handled a lot.
