Samsung laptops are pretty excellent. Ancient Vaios were excellent, the brand new ones are better. HP isn't exactly bad. My foremost reason for no longer purchasing an HP Pavilion could be the gloss. The whole thing, the touchpad, the case, the reveal, even the keyboard is shiny and tender.

Go with the HP. It has better graphics, which will benefit you with any gaming or media you play.

Get the one that has higher RAM, higher processor ghz, quad core, good storage. Bigger is better!
