I would like the more better photographers or people that have both of these cameras. I really want to get the Nikon D3000 because its what I been looking for, but some of people that own D5000 tell me that's its better, i would like some facts WHY its better. One the cool feathers that i like about D3000 is miniature mode, does the D5000 have BETTER?????

D5000 is one of the few DSLRs that has a movie mode, which is rare... granted it is a bit rudimentary, but it's still there... you also get live-view which is nice, 2 extra megapixels and a tilting screen... D5000 is a very large upgrade over the D3000...
The CMOS sensor of the D5000 seems to give a little better result than the CCD of the D3000 at high ISO or low light. The D5000 can also do in-camera correction of some chromatic aberrations for .jpg files.

Nikon D3000 is entry level while D5000 is an advance entry level camera.D5000 come with close features to D90 and more advance than D3000.If you can afford I would recommend it.But if you have limit budget then D3000 is a good choice.
