stretch all of your muscles before and AFTER you run or whatever sport you are into. Yes being flexible does make you run faster, it also reduces risk for energy. You should stretch for a good 15-20 min before the race, and make sure you dont stop moving!! The more you stretch the more flexible you will be. and yes, if you stop they will become tight again, not if you dont stretch for like a day or what ever, im talking a month, if you dont stretch for a week then it will loose some flexiblity but not nearly as much then a week. All of them. Work your hamstrings, calves, glutes (buttocks), and quad (thigh) muscles. Stretching and sprinting exercises will also increase speed.
