I love Charlotte, it's feminine, elegant and a little old-fashioned, but in a good way! Amanda just sounds dated to me, I know a lot of people my age (22) named Amanda, so I associate more with people my age than a baby being born today.
I love both of them . Amanda reminds me of cute little girl with dark hair and olive skin. Charlotte reminds me of a beautiful girl with dark brown hair and pale skin. Amanda is a bit more Charlotte. I think Charlotte sounds a tad bit richer than Amanda. But i love them both
charlotte is def better. Amanda is so generic and like someone else said there are hundreds of them. Not to mention charlotte is a classic sophisticated name.
Ok .. I really like both. Charlotte is very classic. Would you call her Charlotte? or Char for short? I personally woudln't call her Char, but I love Charlotte!!!
Amanda, is cute. I would call her Mandy. Infact When i was preggo with number 2 i was going to name her Miranda and call her mandy for short, but it was a boy.

Charlotte. Because it is cute for a baby and sophisticated for a lady. I have never liked the name Amanda for some reason.
I love the name Charlotte. Amanda is too common today, while Charlotte has that old time feel, with all of the strength and beauty.
