Well, I have answered your prior question regarding the best $150 850w PSU (the cheaper the better) right?
So regarding this issue, practically they are the same, what makes the other better is that you're going to use only the cables that are needed, thus the lesser the cables, the more free space inside the better the airflow, which means better temperature control, so like what I have recommended you on your first question, The TX850M is the better one here.
@ feather, here is the difference between your XFX Core Edition PRO850W and the CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX850M:
Basically it's the same as the 850W V2 but it's $89. It's also a Seasonic rebrand so it offers the same kind of quality and reliability you would find from a Corsair PSU. Seasonic actually made power supplies for Corsair up until recently.
BUT something to keep in mind, an 850W power supply is enough to power GTX 580s in SLI, so you may want to think about getting something a little lower-end since it'll be both cheaper and more power efficient since PSUs run best efficiency-wise at around 85% load.
A modular power supply is a power supply that only uses the cables you need.
It will come in a bag, and then you would plug only the ones you need into the power supply.
It's much better than getting the TX850 V2 if you're not gonna use every single cable, and I doubt you will need to use all 8 sata cables and 8 peripherals.
I recommend you get Corsair HX-850 though.
The higher the efficiency, the less heat is produce, the less degradation of your power cables.
I myself have a Corsair AX-750, it's gold certified.
Since now they are priced the same, go with TX850M. You can use only needed cable, so less crowded, better airflow, tidy, and best of all it cost you no more than TX850 V2.
