i'm a male and i have somewhat coarse hair (african hair) and i need to

know how long my hair should be before getting cornrows (braids) or

currently my hair is just about 1.5 inches long and about 2 inches

when i perm it and i know it isn't long enough to braid but how long

should it be to be for either style?

also should i perm it about a couple weeks before getting

either style?
