Which white blood cells fight melanoma?

I am taking interferon Alpha2b as adjuvant care for stage 3 melanoma. In theory, this treatment is supposed to help my immune system destroy any covert disease that remains. (All detectable disease was removed in surgery.)

But a side effect of the treatment is abnormally low neutrafil levels. Neutrafils are the white blood cells that fight infection. Isn't this counterproductive? Or are the neutrafil cells not responsile for cancer fighting?
