She wasn't actually raped. What happened is that she went undercover at a correctional facility when a woman there ended up dead, and the investigation ot the prison began when it was found that she had the same strain of STD as several proclaimed rape victims in the prison, if I remember correctly. One of the guards, not realizing she was a cop, put her in "the hole" (solitary)...and tried to rape her. He came pretty close to forcing her to give him oral by handcuffing her to something...but Detective Tutuola (?? played by Ice T.) was also undercover as a guard there to keep a lookout for her. He rescued her at the last second.
In the end, it was her identification of his "nether regions" that got him busted.
Though she wasn't actually raped, she experienced a bit of a mental breakdown at the realization that it had come so close to happening, and she couldn't stop it, even though she is a cop trained to protect herself. It sort of blew her confidence a bit.
The fact that she was the product of a rape has been said since the beginning. In the series premiere (1x01 Payback), she's seen with her mother and they talk about how if her mother wasn't raped she wouldn't be there. Her comment about the army is from PTSD (season 10 episode 9)
she was raped, it was just never shown on the show. from everything ive been reading on wikipedia, imdb, and netflix, she was indeed raped, just as a kid/teen.
