Last week was my first pap smear in the States (I'm from across the pond) and after doing the swab/pelvic exam, the doctor/OB GYN then said he needed to check the top of my back/spine. He pressed the area that is at the bottom of my neck (the part that's fattier and bulges out a little, just above my shoulder blades) and asked me if I'd noticed it get swollen or change size, which I haven't.
I know it's dumb, but I was so anxious to just get out of there that I didn't even think to ask him WHY he'd examined my upper spine... can anyone answer that for me please?
If it helps, we did discuss the fact that I'm suffering unexplained infertility even though a full spectrum of tests all came back clear a few years ago.

Maybe looking for a cushingoid deposition of fat? Just a guess.
You CALL AND ASK THEM WHY.... don't feel bad though. Just follow up on it!
