How come when batteries stop working in something and you just take them out and flip them around they start working again for a little while?
when a battery is installed for a long time it develops corrosion between the terminals reducing conductivity..
flipping them gives a fresh contact surface that conducts better then before.
to prove this next time you need to flip them just spin them a little it will still work :).
