GPA is way too flawed as a measure of performance. For starters, some teachers are drastically harder than others, so a lot of one's grade depends on the teacher. Second of all, some schools are much harder than others.

I agree with you to a certain extent. A class that you can get an A in in one school would get you a B for the same amount of work in another.
But more than gpa is the type of classes that matter. AP and honors are weighted differently.
Either way, life isn't fair.
