This is a first time I've ever owned a kitten, I've always adopted adult cats (since they seem to be overlooked at shelters). With my last adult cat (who recently passed on), I would refill her water bowl every other day. With this kitten, she drinks at least one bowl of water a day and sometimes I have to fill it a second time! My boyfriend says it's perfectly fine because she's a growing cat. I suppose I worry too much, but I was wondering if it was normal for a kitten to drink so much? I just want to make sure she grows healthy and strong.

this is normal
kittens use up water much faster and will drink more because they are more active than an adult cat
talk with your vet about proper diet control
your kittens nutritional needs will change as she grows and your vet can give you a feeding schedule and amounts that should be given.
she will need attention a lot more than an adult also but that will just make her closer to you.
adopting adult cats is a generous action because they have been given a second chance this way
giving kittens and cats a loving and secure home is something not many people are willing to do
and i bless you for it
Is it hot in your area? Maybe she is just thirsty a lot due to heat if she is an outdoor cat,my kittens are like that but it''s cold out now, she'll be fine, but just in case always watch for other symptoms before going to the vet
if you have not already please take the kitty to a go vet
i could be an infection
then again it could just be the cat
but you won't know for sure
