I was tricked into a science project that involves mixing windex and bleach, only later to learn that the two make a poisonous gas, however I've also read that the gas is made when ammonia is present, and the windex I've used is ammonia free. The project was left in the fridge. Is there anything I should know, like disposing of the contents of the fridge, etc? Also is breathing it in for a second or so and immediately moving back bad still? Thanks for the help guys.

My understanding is that chlorine and ammonia combine to make mustard gas. The fumes affect the lungs.
If your Windex has no ammonia you're probably ok.
If you have any doubt as to how handle and dispose, contact a local poison control agency. They deal with kind of stuff all the time.
